Applications are invited to appear before the selection committee in the online interview for filling up the purely temporary positions of (1) one Research Associate-III (RA-III) and (2) One Research Associate-I (RA-I) in the scheme of “Short-Term Research Fellowship/Post-Doctorate Fellowship” program of the Institute under the supervision of Prof. Asis Datta, Distinguished Emeritus Scientist, NIPGR. The details of the positions are as under:


Name of Position: Research Associate-III (RA-III) 01 post.

Eligibility: Candidates having a Ph.D. degree in Life Sciences (Plant Molecular Biology, Plant Biotechnology, Plant Physiology) with a good academic record (i.e. overall 55% marks throughout the academic career) and at least 3 years of relevant work experience and published research papers in journals of international repute are eligible to apply. Candidate with prior experience in working with transgenic plants is desirable.

Name of the Position: Research Associate-I (R-I) 01 post

Eligibility: Candidates having a Ph. D. Degree in Life Sciences with a good academic record (i.e. overall 55% marks throughout the academic career) and at least one year of relevant work experience and published research papers in the journals of International repute are eligible to apply. Experience of working with Candida albicans, Molecular Biology, and Proteomics are desirable.

The Fellowship amount for the above positions is at par with the similar fellowships by DBT/DST. The above positions are completely on a temporary basis and co-terminus with the Scheme. The initial appointment will be for a period of one year, which can be curtailed or extended based on the performance of the candidate and discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above posts depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The position may be terminated at any time by giving a month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of NIPGR.

Canvassing in any form or bringing influence, political or otherwise, will lead to disqualification of the candidate(s). The CV will be shortlisted thereafter, and a link will be sent to the shortlisted candidate along with the timeslot for the day of the interview.
